Rachel Rice - Big Brother 9

Why oh why oh why,as the classic points of view letter goes,did big brother put in Rex’s girlfriend?

Big brother 9 has been a big improvement on recent big brothers,in fact it has been the best series since bb5,so why spoil it with this twist,it wasn’t needed,there were still enough people in the house with conflicting personalities to carry this series to the final week,instead with the loss of Luke ,big brother panic and resort to a cheap stunt.

They still fail to get that the public don’t want forced romances,and cartoon character house mates,we want multi faceted and complex characters who we can watch over the summer months and see how they interact and cope in the big brother house.

If they really wanted to ruffle a few feathers,then putting in girl no: 6 would have had the same affect,and at the same time,not giving a house mate (Rex) an advantage.

Of course storylines will develop from this twist,and big brother will point to that and say i told you so,but storylines would continue to have developed anyway,naturally,with out big brothers interference.

Just as i was beginning to renew my faith in big brother they go and do something like this,as the old saying goes,if something isn’t broke,why try and fix it.

Luke was evicted,and gave us the best post eviction interview yet,despite Davina’s poor interview skills,and in doing so ,reminded us all why he was such a great house mate,it was a shame to lose him.

Unlike other house mates who were evicted,Luke had the self awareness to know why he was evicted,he didnt have his head in the sand,he was savvy enough to know that the public didn’t take to his behind the back bitching and stirring.

I can see a career in the media for Luke,he is articulate and witty,and seems a natural in front of the camera,as for what he would do im not sure,but i think Channel 4 will use him in some capacity as they tried to do with both Chantelle and Nikki.

Oh and Rachel survived as expected……………
